This week (11-17 September) it’s Remember A Charity Week, a campaign to encourage people to consider leaving a donation in their will to a charity (or charities) close to their heart. This year the campaign calls on the public to ‘have your say on the world you want to pass on’, emphasising the real difference that legacy money can make for the charities who are working to change the world for the better.
Legacies really mean a lot to Headway East London. They have supplied crucial core funding, without which we could not keep the centre open, as well as enabling us to improve and develop our services for brain injury survivors and their families. For example, one legacy was used to refurbish the railway arch next door, which is now our prolific and much-loved art space, Submit to Love Studios!
