Do you have experience of clinical and counselling work with people with acquired #braininjury? Who you like to join a team of professionals with different expertise providing holistic support for people living with brain injury? 

Then this role might be for you! 

We are looking for an Associate Psychotherapist / Counselling Psychologist to provide psychotherapy assessments and treatment for people with acquired brain injury, and in some instances their family members, who have been referred to the Headway East London Private Therapy Service and the Enfield Brain Injury Service (Enfield).

We are looking for a Volunteer to assist in the running of our new Wednesday Evening Service programme of activities at Headway East London.

You will be based at our main centre in Haggerston, where we provide a range of services for people living with brain injury. You will get the opportunity to join our projects, support our members, take part in fun and creative activities and learn about brain injury.

The role requires a minimum commitment of at least 4 months, every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 8.30pm.

We are looking for Event Volunteers to support our ever-expanding and exciting events calendar.

You will be volunteering alongside our project leads as well as volunteers from our Day Service and people living with acquired brain injury. You don’t need any special skills or knowledge, we’ll give you the induction you need, and support is always on hand!

The role is varied and volunteering hours usually start after 4.30pm/5pm for about 5 hours. Occasionally our events will happen during the weekend. You will be mostly based at our centre in Hackney but travel maybe needed for specific occasional events offsite. Please read the Application Pack for examples of some our regular events.

We are looking to grow our Community Support Worker team, with a Cover Community Support Worker. You will work one-to-one with survivors in their own homes and the local community throughout Headway East London’s 13 borough catchment area. Cover work will be available on an occasional basis and as required by the service.

 

You’ll help survivors to develop support plans to enable them to achieve their goals and live their life in the way they want to.  You will follow existing support plans to provide support to manage activities at home, maximise opportunities and choices, support wellbeing and provide advocacy.
