Make a referral

Headway East London offers support to brain injury survivors, their families and carers. This includes our Day Service, Neurological Therapies, Community Support Work, and Casework. As the effects of brain injury are long-term, so is our support.

Who can make a referral?

Anyone can make a referral: family, friends, GPs or other professionals. You can even refer yourself. Please consider the following when doing so:

  • Referrals must be for someone who has had an acquired brain injury (ABI) and is over 18 years old.
  • Headway East London does not offer services to people who have a progressive illness or who had a brain injury at birth.
  • Headway East London is only able to offer services to people with high care needs if we are confident we will be able to meet those needs.
