Birthdays are always a cause for celebration at Headway East London, and for our 25th we are hosting not just a gala dinner to commemorate a quarter of a century supporting people living with brain injuries.
On Thursday 12th March 1998, Headway East London opened its doors for the first time, with just one staff member, a single volunteer and three survivors of brain injury. Now we support over 700 survivors, their families and carers each year across 13 London Boroughs.
To celebrate in style, we will be honouring the decade of our birth with 90’s themed tables, entertainment and gifts at the The Tab Centre, a historic building in the heart of Shoreditch.
We will create a seasonal spring feast, working closely with a professional chef to realise a one-of-a-kind menu, inspired by and designed alongside our members.
There will be a dazzling range of entertainment – with live musical performances by the Headway East London members choir, the “Headway Band” and Nordoff Robins Community Choir, speeches and storytelling showcasing the journeys of our members and our charity’s history.
The dinner will raise vital funds for our future: tickets are £100 and there will be a lively auction of original artwork by our talented Submit to Love artists.
Join us to celebrate a very special birthday, and help us continue to support people living with brain injuries for another 25 years!
