Headway East London’s range of essential services is reliant on the generosity, dedication and imagination of our supporters.

Whether it’s signing up for a sponsored challenge or holding your own event, fundraising is a fantastic way to support Headway East London and can be a great personal achievement. Events are taking place all around the UK; from fun runs to skydives and virtual events, there’s something to suit everyone!

Sponsored challenges

There’s nothing like setting yourself a goal, and feeling all the hard work pay off.

Feeling nervous? Team up with friend and family. You needn’t even be in the same place to complete a long distance run or cycle together – this summer, a team completed the epic Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle, without leaving London, by covering the distance between them on bicycles and exercise machines.

Pick something that you love to do – it needn’t be a traditional event. For example, a dance/karaoke marathon, cake decorating competition, or a face mask-making session (and sell them afterwards).

Community

Any get together, in person or online, can also be a fundraiser – and a great way to raise awareness about Headway among the people you know.

Quizzes are popular, and themes can refresh the model – for example, a school quiz based on GSCE questions, or a comedy quiz, where players have to guess the punchline. A bake sale, wine tasting or pot luck meal makes for a great foodie fundraiser.
