• Museum trips to Whitechapel Gallery, The British Museum & The Horniman
• Skiing at The Snow Centre organised with Northern Trust
• Summer trips to the London Zoo organised with Goldman Sachs
• Christmas Party week for all of our members kindly supported by Double Tree Hilton, The Wellington Hospital,Fried Frank & Anthony Gold
• The return of Supper Club for a Caribbean inspired meal in spring.

Fundraisers

Once again this year we have been blown away by the hard work of our fundraisers – everything you raise goes into making Headway East London a rich, diverse place for members to collaborate and continue our wide range of actitivies and events. Special thanks must go to:

• Lucy French and friends who raised over £6,000 participating in the Brentwood Half Marathon for her fiancé Campbell
• A team of 3 London Marathon runners who raised £6,500 between them
• Chief Executive Miriam who celebrated 18 years at Headway East London by trekking 192 miles coast to coast, raising almost £4,000
• Volunteer Joshua who took part in RideLondon for a second year running and intends to next year again!
• #TeamBongard who raised over £7,000 in various running events for their friend Max, who is making good progress in hospital
• Our very own member, Lewis who took on the Santa Run and raised £600
• We have also been supported by corporate partners through Charity of the Year partnerships

We finished the year in style with a return of Headway East London’s Dance Marathon which took place at the Southbank Centre, raising £6,000 and new awareness for the charity in an amazing venue. We also held a stall selling some new merchandise designed by artists at Headway’s art studio!
