Not Just a Gala Dinner, a special edition of our legendary supper clubs “Headway Eats” at the Tab Centre, Shoreditch. We will celebrate the decade of our birth with 90’s themed tables, live musical performances by our members, the Nordoff Robbins Community Choir and the “Headway Band”, and storytelling showcasing the journeys of our members and our charity’s history. The dinner will raise vital funds for our future, and will feature a lively auction of original artwork by artists living with brain injuries from the Submit to Love Studios.
15-19 May
Action for Brain Injury Week 2023 – Every 90 seconds someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury. For Action for Brain Injury week, we are joining Headway UK in raising awareness and understanding about the causes of brain injury and how our work can help rebuild lives. Watch our video.

Headway Eats is back with a special edition called “Wonderful World, Beautiful People” to celebrate the wonderful world of Carol, singer, style queen, astrologer and Headway East London member since 2002. Expect delicious food, live music and storytelling. Get your tickets here.

25th Birthday Party for Headway East London members, their families and carers, to come together at our centre in Haggerston, and celebrate the lively community around which we have developed our unique holistic approach for 25 years.

differently various – A highlight of our multi-year partnership with the Barbican, the Curve will be transformed for 9 days in a mesmerising interactive exhibition co-designed by our members with the support of curators Art et. Al and designers PUP Architects. We will share stories about brain injury through unique artwork alongside video, audio and print material. You will be able to join in and explore differently various through a free events programme, with members of our community offering tours, talks and workshops in the gallery alongside relaxed performances of music, poetry, and film screenings. A Member-Led Conference to understand the unique challenges that people living with brain injury face daily. We will invite commissioners, social workers and medical professionals to our centre to learn about brain injury from people with lived experience and long-standing partners of Headway East London.
