For this year’s Action for Brain Injury, we joined Headway UK in raising awareness and understanding about the causes of brain injury and how our work can help rebuild lives.
Brain injury is closer to any of us than we might think and can have a devastating lifelong impact. Strokes, falls, road traffic collisions, assaults, brain tumours, meningitis… these are just a few examples of what can cause a brain injury.
Headway East London supports over 750 people a year to navigate life after brain injury. We work in a holistic way, using creative and community-based approaches backed by specialist knowledge. We provide therapies, advocacy and community support work alongside our day service.
With your help, we can provide innovative and creative support to more people living with brain injury, and fight for a more accessible and equitable society.
