Help provide life changing support for people living with a brain injury

Brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time and can devastate the lives of those affected – changing their personality, their behaviour and their relationships with those closest to them. Many people we see have lost their jobs, their homes and their self respect.

Headway East London supports people to put their lives back together, campaigns to improve services and raises awareness of brain injury in the wider community.

We provide vital services for people living with brain injuries including physio and neurological therapies, counselling and occupational therapies, everything people need to rebuild their lives.

BUT this comes at a cost, our day services alone cost in the region of £5,000 a week to run. Help us to keep the doors open and the lights on throughout 2021

“Headway has helped me communicate my story to other brain injured people, my family and friends, medical people and the wider world. People with a brain injury need to have their say because we all have something important to contribute on the question of what it means to be human.”

Volunteers are a big part of our community. They work alongside our staff team, spend time with our members and help with activities in our Day Service at Headway House.

Headway East London’s range of essential services is reliant on the generosity, dedication and imagination of our supporters.

From fundraising events such as community open kitchens and art exhibitions to family support groups and legal clinics.
